Thai Driving Licence
Your driving licence solution in Thailand
A licence conversion, a new licence, or a renewal. We handle the paperwork and the appointment so you can focus on passing the tests.
Getting a Thai Driving Licence Is Not as Simple as It Sounds
Getting a Thai driving licence as a foreigner can quickly become overwhelming. Documents scattered across different offices, locations to track down, appointments to juggle, paperwork that goes missing, certificates that expire after just 30 days. One missed step, and you are back to square one.
50 multiple-choice questions. Minimum score: 45 out of 50 (90%). Mandatory for all applicants, including conversions.
Residence certificate, medical certificate, translation if needed, e-learning certificate. Each from a different place, each with its own timeline.
Your residence certificate and medical certificate are valid for only 30 days. Get the timing wrong, and you may need to start over.

We check your visa type, your TM30 status, and your specific situation. You receive your personalised document checklist and your confirmed price. Payment is required at this stage, before we begin preparing your dossier.
Send us your documents by WhatsApp or email: passport pages, visa stamp, foreign licence if applicable, and your full Thai address. Weight and height are taken directly at your medical certificate appointment, no need to send these to us.
For Licence Conversion
Complete the DLT e-learning module and download your completion certificate. Study the written test preparation guide we send you. No practical test, no driving school required.
For New Licence
In addition to the e-learning module and written test preparation, we recommend a training course with our partner driving school (typically 15h, theory and practical, not a legal minimum but strongly advisable). This typically adds several days to a week to your timeline before you're ready for your DLT appointment.
We obtain your residence certificate from Thai immigration. We book your medical certificate appointment at our partner clinic, you'll still need to attend the appointment in person, this is a medical exam that requires your presence, we handle the booking and preparation around it. We translate your foreign licence if required. We book your DLT Smart Queue appointment, timed so your documents stay valid until the day. We send you your complete preparation pack.
We accompany you throughout your DLT appointment. Arrive at your DLT office at the confirmed time. Present your complete dossier. Complete the aptitude tests, pass the written theory test, pass the practical test if applicable. Have your photo taken. Receive your Thai driving licence the same day.
We confirm receipt of your licence by WhatsApp. We remind you of your licence validity and renewal date. Questions after the day? We're available on WhatsApp.
What You Need to Know Before Your DLT Appointment
50 multiple-choice questions on traffic signs, road rules and driving regulations. Minimum score: 45 out of 50 (90%). Available in English at all major DLT offices. We provide a preparation guide and a link to the official DLT e-learning module.
If you're applying for a new licence, the practical test follows your driving school training. We recommend scheduling your DLT appointment as close as possible to finishing your course, so your residence certificate and medical certificate don't expire before you're ready.
Arms and legs must be covered. No tank tops, no shorts. Some applicants have been turned away at the door for non-compliant clothing.
If you don't pass on your first attempt, you can usually retry, sometimes the same day, sometimes another. Any government retest fee is at your own cost. Keep in mind your residence certificate and medical certificate remain valid for only 30 days from issue, so a retry that's delayed too long may require new documents. We factor this into your appointment timing from the start.

Never Face the DLT Paperwork Alone
From your residence certificate to your DLT appointment, every step is timed around your 30-day document window. Conversion, new licence, or renewal, in Bangkok or anywhere else we cover. You prepare for the tests, we handle everything else.
